Yadkin Valley Wineries
The Yadkin Valley covers over 14 million acres of rolling foothills in northwestern North Carolina. The climate and soil provide excellent conditions for growing European varieties such as Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Reisling.
The Yadkin Valley has now replaced what were once tobacco fields with vineyards. The rural scenery is dotted with unique artisan crafts and now world class wineries.
There are currently over twenty wineries and vineyards in the Yadkin Valley that are open to the public for either winery or vineyard tours, tasting and/or sales. There are wine tours that offer hot air balloon rides along with brunch. Winery tours teach you the technique of wine tasting.
